Indianapolis, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced on Monday, March 16 that University of Findlay's Annika Bredel has been named the league's Athlete of the Week after a standout performance for the Oilers this last weekend.
Bredel helped lead Findlay to a 3-3 record during the week while going 10-for-20 at the plate (.500) with 10 runs scored, one double, four home runs, and six RBI, all while not striking out in any of her plate appearances.
The highlight of the week came on Sunday when Bredel broke the University of Findlay career home run record, blasting the 24th home run of her career to become the program's all-time leader.
