Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay track and field team opened their indoor season as they hosted the Oiler Open December 5th and 6th. After a long two days of competition, the Oilers had several top finishes. 

Women's Results: 

• Senior Kelsey Kennon finished third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.36m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Junior Ashley Sigmon placed second in high just with a height of 1.57m. Sigmon also won the long jump with a jump of 5.31m 

• Senior Brooke Coulter finished second in the shot put with a mark of 13.80m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Junior Katelyn Heath took second in triple jump with a mark of 11.08m 

• Sophomore Victoria Harvey placed third in the pole vault with a height of 3.87m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. 

• Senior Kylie Ray won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.79 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Freshman Gloria Mengolo took third with a time of 9.06 

• Sophomore Leah Smith won the 60m dash with a time of 7.45. Senior Jordan Taylor finished closely behind with a time of 7.49. Both Smith and Taylor met the NCAA Provisional Standard.  

• Sophomore Mary Ellis won the 400m dash with a time of 58.01.  

• Senior Kylie Ray finished second in the 800m run with a time of 2:13.35 hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. 

• Senior Jordan Taylor won the 200m dash with a time of 24.36 hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Sophomore Leah Smith finished second with a time of 25.54. 

• The 4x400m relay team consisting of sophomore Leah Smith, senior Jordan Taylor, sophomore Mary Ellis, and senior Kylie ray won with a time of 3:55.42. While the team consisting of junior Peyton Heitmeyer, senior Anna Kluesener, sophomore Emma Makin, and senior Mackenzie Schneider claimed second with a time of 4:03.86.  

Men's Results: 

• Senior Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard finished second in the shot put with a mark of 16.65m and Sophomore Eyan Wilson finished third with a mark of 16.63m. Both Tresnan-Rieghard and Wilson hit the NCAA Provisional Standard. 

• Freshman Owen Ackerman took third in the high jump with a height of 1.99m. 

• Sophomore Nate Buschur won pole vault with a mark of 4.93m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Junior Conner Douglass finished second with a mark of 4.78m and Freshman Kage Hefner placed third with a mark of 4.63m. 

• Senior Chris Campbell finished second in the long jump with a jump of 7.19m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. 

• Sophomore Leyton Nossa placed second in the weight throws with a mark of 20.56m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. 
• Senior Omari Welch-Guytan finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 14.46m. Junior Mondra Curry claimed third with a mark of 13.81m.

• Junior Aaron Keyt finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.61. 

• Junior K.J. Upshaw took third in the 60m dash with a time of 6.91. Upshaw also finished third in the 200m dash with a time of 22.52. 

• Sophomore Nolan Ellis finished second in the 400m dash with a time of 51.71. 

• Freshman Caden Ehgotz won the 800m run with a time of 2:02.26. 

• Freshman Benjamin Hall finished second in the 3000m run with a time of 8:53.46. 

• The 4x400m relay team consisting of freshman Justin Hattingh, junior Aaron Keyt, sophomore Nolan Ellis, and freshman Caden Ehgotz finished second with a time of 3:36.37.  

The Oilers will be back in action January 17th as they host the Findlay Alumni Classic.
