Ashland, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team traveled to Ashland University to compete in the two-day Jud Logan Light Giver Open on Feb. 2. With the limited events that took place the Oilers still found themselves with several top five finishes.

Top Finishes Men

• The 4000 distance medley relay team consisting of Simon Derstine (JR), Nick Rice (GR), Joe Sadowski (SR), and Jordan Foster (SR) took third place with a time of 9:50.99 meeting the NCAA Provisional mark.
• Colin Warner (JR) finished second in the weight throw with a mark of 18.64m
• Omari Welch-Guytan (JR) took second in the triple jump with a distance of 14.10m
• Connor Hill (JR) finished fifth in the 5000 run with a time of 15:29.46

• Maya Hamsher (SR) finished third in the 5000 run with a time of 18:24.84
• Leah Smith (FR) took fourth place in the 200m dash with a time of 24.84
• Tru Buddenberg (FR) finished fourth in pole vault with a mark of 3.65m

The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow Feb. 3 as they compete in the final day of the Jud Logan Light Giver Open.
