Hillsdale, Mich. - The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team competed on day two of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship on Thursday, May 2. After day two of competition the men are standing in first place with 61 points. The women are in second place with a score of 56 points, just one lone point behind the leaders, Hillsdale College. Â

·      Chris Campbell (JR) finished third in the long jump with a mark of 7.31mÂ
·      After two days of competition, Gabe Clement (JR) finished runner-up in the decathlon, scoring 5947 points.Â
·      Shakur Payton (JR) took second place in high jump with a mark of 1.98mÂ
·      Simon Derstine (JR) finished fourth place in the 1500m run prelims with a time of 3:49.18. Jordan Foster (SR) took ninth with a time of 3:56.71. Both Derstine and Foster will advance and compete in the finals Â
·      Sherron Jones (SO) took sixth place in the 400m dash prelims with a time of 48.22 qualifying for the finalsÂ
·      Kemari Robinson (SO) finished second in the 100m dash prelims with a time of 10.55. Josh Verhoff (GR) took fourth place with a time of 10.69 and KJ Upshaw (SO) finished sixth with a time of 10.57. All three Oilers will be moving on to compete in the finalsÂ
·      Nick Rice (GR) finished third in the 400m hurdles prelims with a time of 53.19 advancing to the finals. Rice also met the NCAA Provisional Standard.Â
·      Josh Verhoff (GR) took third place in the 200m dash prelims with a time of 20.99 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Sherron Jones (SO) finished fourth with a time of 21.55 and Kemari Robinson (SO) took sixth with a time of 21.30. Verhoff, Jones, and Robinson secured spots to advance to the finalsÂ

·      Victoria Harvey (FR) won the pole vault earning her first G-MAC Champion title with a height of 4.06m and meeting the NCAA Provisional StandardÂ
·      Sydney Swan (SO) won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:06.03 earning her first G-MAC Champion title.Â
·      Hailey Wilson (SR) took eighth place in the 1500m run prelims with a time 4:42.39Â
·      Kylie Ray (SR) finished second in the 100m hurdles prelims with a time of 14.23. Amelia Mizelle (SO) took seventh with a time of 14.52. Both Ray and Mizelle secured a spot in the finals Â
·      Taylor Ivory (JR) finished second in the 400m dash prelims with a time of 55.01 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Mary Ellis (FR) took seventh with a time of 56.41 they both will advance to the finals Â
·      Jordan Taylor (SR) won the 100m dash prelims with a time of 11.61 and Leah Smith (FR) finished second with a time of 11.76. Taylor and Smith both met the NCAA Provisional Standard and secured their spots in the finalsÂ
·      Bailey Chenevey (JR) finished sixth in the 800m run prelims with a time of 2:16.06 and will advance to compete in the finalsÂ
·      Kylie Ray (SR) finished second in the 400m dash prelims with a time of 1:00.69 meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Peyton Heitmeyer (SO) took sixth with a time of 1:05.15. Both women will move on and compete in the finals Â
·      Jordan Taylor (SR) finished second in the 200m dash prelims with a time of 24.41 and Leah Smith (FR) took third with a time of 24.65. Both Taylor and Smith will advance and compete in the finals.Â
