Indianapolis, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their postseason awards for the outdoor track and field season on Tuesday, June 4. The University of Findlay men's and women's teams earned 19 all-conference spots including 13 on first team and six on second team. Findlay also earned the Women's Field Athlete of the Year, won by junior Trista Fintel. In addition, head coach Jared Krout was named both men's and women's Coach of the Year.
Fintel, also the Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, earned G-MAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year as she had an outstanding spring season. Fintel was the G-MAC Champion in the hammer throw, shot put, and discus at the outdoor meet. She then went on to earn all-American status in the hammer throw and shot put at the DII Outdoor National Championship.
