Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's and women track and field team hosted the 2025 Findlay Alumni Classic Friday January 17
th. After a late night of competition, the Oilers had several top finishes.
Women's Results:
- Junior Ashley Sigmon took first in the high jump with a mark of 1.64m. Sigmon would also finish second in the long jump with a jump of 5.28m.
- Freshman Colleen Steinmentz would take second place in pole vault with a mark of 3.85m. Sophomores Tru Buddenberg and Victoria Harvey tied for third place with a mark of 3.70m. Steinmentz, Buddenberg, and Harvey hit the NCAA Provisional Standard.
- Senior Brooke Coulter won the shot put with a mark of 13.77m hitting the NCAA Provisional Standard. Junior Ava Kiefer placed third with a mark of 12.41.
- Junior Katelyn Heath finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 11.12m. Senior Morgan Allman took third with a mark of 10.67m.
- Junior Ava Beam placed second in the 1 mile run with a time of 5:09.67.
- Junior Sarah Reinhart finished second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:22.17. Junior Ella Webster took third with a time of 10:24.26.
- Senior Jordan Taylor won the 300 meter run with a time of 39.17. With this time Taylor broke the record set by Laura Hernandez in 2016 setting a new facility record. Senior Kylie Ray took second with a time of 39.39 and sophomore Leah Smith finished third with a time of 39.81.
- Senior Hailey Wilson took second in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:59.64.
- Freshman Emma Hammer finished second in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:39.01.
Men's Results:
- Junior Leyton Nossa took third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.55m.
- Freshman Kage Hefner and sophomore Nate Buschur tied for first in pole vault with a mark of 5.02m. Both Hefner and Buschur hit the NCAA Provisional Standard.
- Sophomore Eyan Wilson finished second in the shot put with a mark of 16.28m.
- Senior Mondra Curry took second in the triple jump with a mark of 13.50m.
- Senior Zac Britton finished second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8.39.40.
The Oilers will be back in action January 25
th as they travel to Hillsdale, Mich. to compete in the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic.
