Findlay Track & Field Caps Hillsdale Tune-Up with Winning Momentum

Hillsdale, Mich.- The University of Findlay track and field teams wrapped up the Hillsdale Tune-Up on Saturday, April 25, with a strong showing that included ten event victories on the day.

Notable Results
Men

Alex Mutchler (Sr.) took first in the pole vault, clearing 5.02m for an NCAA Provisional Standard.
Jack Newlove (Fr.) earned first in the 400m hurdles in 53.85.
Samuel Derstine (Jr.) won the 800m in 1:55.54.
Charles Schmiesing (So.) won the elite discus throw with a mark of 49.91m.
RJ Adkins (Fr.), KJ Upshaw (Sr.), Tyler Thompson (Fr.), and Sherron Jones (Sr.) won the 4x100m relay in 40.74.
Caden Ehgotz (So.) finished second in the 800m in 1:55.58.
Brandon Richardson (Jr.) placed third in the 200m with a time of 21.80.
Charles Ivory (Fr.) finished third in the 400m in 50.04.
Justin Hattingh (So.) placed third in the 400m hurdles in 55.09.
Keyan Holston (So.) placed fifth in the elite discus throw with a mark of 45.95m.

Emma Hammer (So.) captured first in the 800m in 2:18.96.
Brenna McDonald (Fr.) won the discus throw with a mark of 38.46m.
Lilly Leganik (So.), Taylor Scribner (So.), Emma Makin (Jr.), and Gloria Mengolo (So.) placed second in the 4x100m relay in 47.56.
Gloria Mengolo (So.) placed fourth in the 100m hurdles in 14.51.
Maci Ames (Jr.) finished fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.73m.
Amelia Mizelle (Sr.) placed sixth in the 100m hurdles in 14.96.

Findlay will be back in action for the Great Midwest Outdoor Championships. Those are set to take place in Hillsdale, Mich. from Wednesday, April 29- Friday, May 1.
