Track and Field Concludes Alumni Classic

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team hosted the annual Alumni Classic on Jan. 20. Before the meet commenced the Oilers held their ring ceremony honoring members of the 2023 G-MAC championship team and honoring those alumni who came back to compete.

Top Results- Men

Shakur Payton (JR) led the Oilers in the high jump with a mark of 2.03m which matches the NCAA Provisional Standard
Eliot Cummings (SR) took first place in the long jump with a distance of 6.90m
Hunter Tresnan-Rieghard (SR) finished second in shot put with a distance of 15.41m
Jacob Michael (GR) took first place in pole vault with a height of 5.02m. With this jump Michael matches the NCAA Provisional Standard for the third time so far this season
Orry Willems (SR) finished second in the weight throw with a mark of 18.83m which matches the NCAA Provisional Standard
Mondra Curry (JR) finished first in triple jump with a distance of 13.82m
Nick Rice (GR) took first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.66
Kemari Robinson (SO) finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.06. Robinson also took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.66
Luke Hootman (FR) finished second in the mile run with a time of 4:31.41
Simon Derstine (JR) led the Oilers in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:27.33
Alex Albers (SO) took first place in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:51.41
The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Landon Armstrong (FR), Samuel Derstine (FR), Simon Derstine (JR), and Jordan Foster (SR) finished first for the Oilers with a time of 3:31.13

Kassandra Stine (JR) led the Oilers in high jump with a mark of 1.50m
Madison Myers (SR) took second in long jump with a distance of 5.48m
Trista Fintel (JR) finished first in shot put with a mark of 14.87m which matches the NCAA Provisional Standard. Paige Emnett (GR) took second place with a mark of 14.76 also matching the NCAA Provisional Standard
Victoria Harvey (FR) finished first in pole vault with a height of 4.05m matching the NCAA Provisional Standard
Trista Fintel (JR) also took first in the weight throw with a mark of 18.66m and Paige Emnett (GR) finished second with a mark of 17.85m. Both Fintel and Emnett matched the NCAA Provisional Standard
Katelyn Heath (SO) took first in the triple jump with a distance of 10.62m
Kylie Ray (SR) finished first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.02. Ray also took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.88
Leah Smith (FR) finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.72
Olivia Fenbert (FR) took first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.16
Hailey Wilson (SR) finished first in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:59.04
Maya Hamsher (SR) took first place in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:29.95
The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Taylor Ivory (JR), Jordan Taylor (SR), Mary Ellis (FR), and Kylie Ray (SR) finished first with a time of 3:56.07

The Oilers will be back in action on Jan. 27 as they travel to Pennsylvania to compete in the two-day Penn State National Open.
