Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Findlay softball team has been selected second in the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Preseason Coaches Poll which was released by the league on Thursday, January 22. Findlay received 137 points in the vote.

The Oilers have been one of the most consistent programs in the conference, earning a trip to the championship tournament in each of its' seven seasons as a member. Last season, Findlay went 34-16, a fourth consecutive 30-win season, and earned a trip to the NCAA DII Midwest Regional.

An appearance in the conference championship game has occurred in two of the last three seasons but the Oilers are hoping for a breakthrough in 2026 in a chase to claim the program's first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship.

Findlay opens the season on Friday, Feb. 20 - Sunday, Feb 22, playing a five-game set in Triadelphia, West Virginia.
