Brian Sampsel played from 2005-09 and is one of the most decorated Oilers to ever put on a baseball uniform. He was named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) three times (2007, 2008, 2009) and was a two-time all-Great Lakes Region selection (2007, 2008).

Sampsel’s name can be found all over the Oilers record book as he holds school records for runs scored in a career (133), doubles in a career (57), walks in a career (115), and putouts in a career (977). He also ranks second all-time at Findlay with 211 career hits, 123 runs batted in, and 324 total bases.

Sampsel set school records with 27 doubles and 403 putouts during the 2008 season and also ranks fourth all-time at Findlay with a .353 career batting average.
