Outstanding varsity basketball player for Findlay College received All Ohio Honorable Mention in 1953. Before college played professional baseball in the minor league system for the Cleveland Indians. As high school coach had outstanding record over 11 years, 165 wins, 64 losses, 3 county championships, 5 conference, 4 sectional, 2 district and 1 regional championship. Was runner-up in state one year with record of 26 wins and one loss. Coached Junior College ball four years with 60 wins and 37 losses. Named Coach of the Year three times. Coached the Ohio Basketball Summer Classic. His coaching career has included Miller City High School, Fremont Ross and Rossford High Schools. He has coached Owns Technical College where he became Athletic Director, the Director of Admissions and Public Relations and in 1975 was named Vice President for Public Relations, Admissions and Student Activities. He is also a sports analyst for radio WSPD and serves the community in many other ways. As a husband and father, he and his wife have two boys and two girls. An outstanding athlete, leader of young men.
