Stephanie (Charnigo) Gentile had an incredible run with the Oilers during her tenure with the track and field program and was named a NCAA Division II All-American five times during her career. She earned indoor All-American honors twice in the 800-meter run (2009, 2010) and once in the 4x400-meter relay (2008). She also captured All-American honors during the outdoor season in the 800-meter run (2010) and 4x400-meter relay (2007).

During her career, Gentile also won five Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championships. She took home the top honor in the 1,500-meter run during the 2010 campaign and also added titles in the 4x100-meter relay (2008) and 4x400-meter relay (2007). During the indoor season, Gentile won gold in the 4x400-meter relay twice in 2007 and 2008.

Gentile has also stood the test of time as she currently holds five school records for the Oilers. She is the indoor school record holder in the 500-meter dash (1:13.70), 4x400-meter relay (3:45.93), and 4x800-meter relay (9:14.68). She also holds school records for outdoor competition in the 1,500-meter run (4:30.58) and 4x800-meter relay (9:03.04).
