A retired teacher, administrator, and coach – a man who has devoted his life to the guidance and education of young people. He started his career at Findlay College and as a college athlete lettered four years in football, captain of the squad hi senior year, three years in track, was high scorer his sophomore and junior years. Played all positions in football except center and half-back. Was honorable mention Ohio Conference in 1941 and 2nd place sprinter in the Ohio Conference. He has been honored numerous times for his work in the community. He was inducted into the West Tech High School Hall of Fame, received citations from the City of Cleveland and the City of Bay Village. He was awarded the Bay Alumni Association Distinguished Educator Award. He severed in Europe in WWII and in the Korean Conflict for a total of seven years. He spent thirty-five years as an educator and coach. Received his Masters Degree from Western Reserve University in 1954. Has been an active alumnus in Varsity “F” and the Alumni Board of Governors. In 1998 he was presented the University of Findlay Distinguished Alumni Award.
