Jenni McGraw chose to come to Findlay after helping to lead Elida High School to a state runner-up finish in 1990. Jenni’s natural point guard position is considered by many basketball coaches to be the toughest position to play. To be good, it takes a special blend of talent, leadership, confidence and anticipation to excel in college. She helped guide the team to a four-year record of 108 wins and 20 losses during her four-year career. The previous four teams had gone 46-55. She holds several school records that still stand today. She is the all-time leader in assists in a career with 423 and is tied in total games played of 128. She remains the second leading scorer all-time at UF with 1,497 points. Jenni capped off a remarkable career at Findlay by being named the Mid-Ohio Conference (MOC) Player of the Year and to the NAIA All-American First Team in 1996. She was also named All-MOC as a junior and helped lead the Oilers to the NAIA National Tournament in each of her four seasons. Like a quarterback in football, a point guard’s personal success is usually measured by the number of wins and losses that the team achieves. Jenni’s athletic resume is sparkling for that very reason. Jenni graduated from The University of Findlay in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in education and later achieved her master’s degree education from Marygrove College. After spending time as the head girls’ basketball coach, Jenni is currently a physical education and health teacher at Allen East High School. She resides in Findlay, Ohio.
