Hall of Fame
One of Findlay College’s outstanding basketball players of the late 1940’s. He lettered in basketball and football. He is one of two Findlay College basketball coaches to have a team win the state championship. His career in basketball coaching includes 13 years at Miller City and Hicksville with 184 wins and 105 losses. The 1950 team at Miller City was state champions in the Class B high school tournament. It was his first year of coaching. He coached four sports and was athletic director at one time in his career. He became a school principal at Highland High School in 1962 and is presently superintendent at the Centerburg Local School District in Central Ohio. His affiliations include ice chairman of OHSBCA, a member of the coaches Hall of Fame of the OHSBCA. He has been a member of Board of Control of the OHSAA. He has been most active in church work, Boy Scouts, the Lions Club, and the Masonic Lodge.
