Kara (Heitmeyer) Williams was a standout on the Oilers volleyball team from 2000-03. She helped usher the Oilers volleyball team into the NCAA Division II ranks and led the squad to four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division championships and three appearances in the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

A first team all-GLIAC selection in 2002 and 2003, Williams earned all-Great Lakes Region honors in 2001, 2002, and 2003. She was also named second team all-Great Lakes Region by Daktronics in 2002.

Williams ranks second all-time at Findlay with 1,723 career kills and ranks third all-time with 629 kills during the 2003 campaign. She also ended her career with a total of 391 digs, 270 blocks, and 106 aces.
