Kelly came to Findlay College in 1984 after an incredible high school career. In fact, she is still the all-time leading scorer in basketball at Arcanum High School – boys or girls. She continued her excellence in both basketball and softball in college. On the basketball court, Kelly set records that remain today. She holds the following records; most assists in a season (128), three-point fields made in a season (78) and during a game (6), three-point field goals attempted in a game (12), and three-point field goals percentage in a season at nearly 48 percent. She was a three-year letter-winner and led her teams to the WBCC championship twice. On the basketball court, she was named First Team All-Conference, All-District 22, and was an NAIA National Scholar Athlete. In addition to her exploits in basketball, Kelly, was also a standout softball player. During her three-year career, she was All-District 22 three times, named to the All-WBCC three times, and was also named an NAIA National Scholar Athlete in Softball. She led her softball team to a three-year record of 86-25, including three WBCC titles. Kelly graduated from Findlay College in 1988 and later received her master’s degree in education from the University of Dayton. She was inducted into the Arcanum High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Celina High School Athletic Hall of Fame with a team in 2005. She has been a successful high school English teacher for the past 18 years, including the last nine at her present employer, the St. Marys City School System. She resides in St. Marys, Ohio with her husband and son.
