Hall of Fame
Two sport athletes were commonplace in the 1970’s and 1980’s at then Findlay College. One athlete that not only played two sports but also excelled in both was Denny Maag. Denny played both football and baseball at Findlay college from 1976-1980. He was a defensive back in Football and was All-Hoosier Buckeye Conference and the team captain of the 1979 NAIA National Championship Team. He was also a starter for the 1978 NAIA National Runner-up squad. He led the team with 5 interceptions in 1979. In baseball, he was also All-Hoosier Buckeye Conference. He lettered in both sports all four years while at Findlay College. Denny has continued his success after graduating from Findlay College in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He has several banking degrees and was the former President of the peoples Banking Company. Denny has been extremely active in the community with the United Way, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the Fostoria Athletic Boosters. Denny is currently the Major Gifts Officer at The University of Findlay. He and his wife, Pam have 3 kids and reside in Fostoria, Ohio.
